Funniest part of all these bad Marino deals is the fact that it's getting more likely every day that he won't be moved at all. If Letang leaves, Marino is our new #1 R-Dman with nothing behind him.

I would start with an offer that looks like Thomson/JBD, Jarventie and Ottawa's second rounder for Marino

Which would you rather keep between Thompson and Bernard-Docker?

Normally, I would say JBD, but since this would be a trade for Marino, I would trade JBD over Thomson since they are both the same type of player IMO

I like Lassi's overall game a bit more, but Bernard-Docker is a bit more polished defensively. I'd keep Lassi for sure, but to me it's basically a coin flip for which one will end up better. Bernard-Docker also with more offense to give than his 9 points this year might suggest. Was used very heavily in defensive roles.

Garland straight up does not get you Marino. I like the player a ton and like his style, but wild to see what Vancouver fans think a 50 point player costs.

Garland is arguably more valuable than Marino, Marino hasn't been spectacular these past two seasons, and practically all of Garlands points came at even strength, so it's not like he relies on the power play to put up points. It's not Canucks fans overvaluing their players, it's Pens fans overvaluing Marino

Give him powerplay time and be easily puts up 65-70. He got 50 points without any PP time this season and has some of the best analytics and 5v5 play in the league
Marino on the other hand has had a very mediocre to borderline disappointing season. His value mostly stems from the fact that he plays RD which is valued across the league

I don't understand why people are saying Marino is worth more than Garland in a 1 for 1 swap, or Garland had a bad season. Even though he had a slump midway he still pushed play very well

I’d add the 3rd for boeser but lower it to a 4th for garland…

Also Would you throw in Luke schenn? Just to get another body on defense? Lol
I’ve seen fans send Kapanen to VAN… any interest?

I think it might be the whole “defensemen are more valuable than forwards” garbage but they are pretty close to equal value tbh… lowkey Marino is more valuable TO PITTSBURGH tho bc if letang walks we have LITERALLY no one to play RHD… So that’s why all PIT fans are so reluctant to part with our Harvard kid

I like faksa as a depth piece and the 1st is good but give me bio on dellandrea… why did he not play in the nhl last year?

            I’d counter with

            Marino, 2024 3rd
            For
            Gurianov, 2022 1st, B-level prospect?

Because Bowness preferred vets over young guys, mostly. Dellandrea did perform admirably in AHL.

Guri+Prospect+1st is a bit much for Marino for now, I'd want to see what Guri can do with new coach in DeBoer.

I’d add the 3rd for boeser but lower it to a 4th for garland…

Also Would you throw in Luke schenn? Just to get another body on defense? Lol
I’ve seen fans send Kapanen to VAN… any interest?

I'd consider Boeser/Garland for Marino & Kapanen. Maybe add a late round pick if on top if it's Boeser

Canucks aren't going to give up Schenn easily, it will cost at least a 3rd to pry him away

            TAGE THOMPSON?????

            Absolutely not

To clarify… I wanted him before his breakout season…
But again it was only one good year….
What would I have to Throw in (in your mind) to get him?
Or is he one of your untouchables
Like Buffalo is nowhere close to even being a playoff team so a 5 year rebuild seems about in order
