I like Chychrun to LA a lot, but that trade makes no sense for either team. Quick is too old to make an impact when the Coyotes are looking to compete. LA are also still reliant on Quick because Cal hasn't taken the step they hoped he would yet.

On top of that, the prospect isn't high-tier enough and I doubt LA trades out two first round picks in a row.

It's been reported that the Arizona ask for Chychrun is a high-quality roster player with term (think Iafallo), an A prospect (think Turcotte or Vilardi), a first-round draft pick (with 3 in 2022 already, they might prefer a second one in 2023), and something significant in addition. One year of Jonathan Quick doesn't do the Coyotes any good and Madden isn't the level of prospect that they're looking for unless it's to satisfy Requirement #4. And given the lack of players on their roster both for next season and the one following, it's unlikely that they'll prefer two first-round draft picks to a first and an equivalent NHLer.

That trade isn't good enough but no one is gonna talk about the fact that Vatrano is getting 4 M??? huge overpayment. not to mention, Vatrano would be on our 4th line.

Not sure Clarke is ready yet, and Spence isn't good enough either. if they were both would not play above Roy.
Moverare isn't ready yet. neither is Turcotte and I doubt Lias andersson stays.
Hrenak has only played 3 games of pro hockey and highly doubt he's ready to be a nhl B.

first off, arizona isnt looking to compete any time soon, they are taking on bad contracts for picks and stuff, LA needs to realize they arent a contending team for the next 1-2 years, they are a wildcard/miss team but not for long, give cal time and he will easily be the starter.
