Rags absolutely decline. We're not gonna give you two top tier prospects (Lundkvist and Kravtsov), a solid middle 6 center on the verge of a breakout (Chytil), Ryan Reaves, AND a 1st, for a year of J.T. Miller plus Dickinsons cap hit. You're dreaming if you think this is a possibility.

If this were to be a trade it'd probably be more like this:

NYR acquire:
J.T. Miller
Jason Dickinson

Canucks Acquire:
Kakko
Lundkvist
Nemeth
3rd

Even that is unrealistic, as the Rangers are not looking to add expensive top 6 players.

I'm sorry, did you just call Kravtsov and Chytil top tier prospects? They're not even prospects anymore lol

We all know Chytil and Lundkvist + 1st was on the table. Suddenly Kravstov is a top tier prospect? Sure... Miller at 50% retained isn't "expensive".

No I called Kravtsov and Lundkvist top tier prospects, because they are. I called Chytil a middle 6 center on the verge of a breakout.

Yeha, Chytil, Lundkvist + 1st was realistic around the TDL, but since then Chytil has broken out, and after how he played in the playoffs he looks like a genuine 2C/top 6 winger. Kravtsov was always a highly rated prospect, and while yes, the drama that went on dragged his value down a little, the way he played in the KHL proves just how good he is, and he's still just 22. Plus, Jason Dickinson drags your side down significantly, we don't need his caphit when we're trying to resign guys like Miller and Laffy to long-term extensions.

Most importantly, however, we're not looking for a JT Miller. Laffy, Chytil, and Kakko should all play top 6 roles next season, and with Kravtsov returning and Othmann on the way, we don't need another veteran blocking their paths. Sure the RS is nice, but it's only for a year, since we're not afford to extend him beyond 22-23. Why would we ever hand you 3 young players/prospects, who are projected to play vital roles for us in the near future, plus a 1st round pick in a very deep draft, for a veteran we could only keep for a season, plus JD's caphit for 2 years? JT is not going to New York

I do believe that once the Copp trade happened that JT was over in NYR. Though I'll never put it past a Dolan owned team. Suffering Knicks fan here....

This is probably a reach for sure. Dickinson doesn't make sense in the deal smile

Chytil's value bumped for sure. Kravstov has definitely fallen dramatically. I don't see the clear path for him in NYR. Neither do I see a path for Lundkvist. I'll be curious to see what happens this summer. It will be tempting for NYR to make a push for next year.

Also for NYR is what happens when Laf, Kravstov, Chytil, Miller, etc need to be signed. Lots of movement clauses with big money.

Lundkvist and Kravtsov are not top tier prospects. Lundkvist is solid, but not great. Kravtsov’s value has gone way down in the last ~year or so. Chytil is an average 3C. One solid playoff run where his shooting % was close to double his career average is unlikely to be sustainable.

Also Kakko, Lundkvist, Nemeth and a 3rd for Miller and Dickinson? Dickinson and Nemeth probably cancel our, but I’d rather have Dickinson since the Canucks have no need for a LD. So you want to trade a solid prospect, a winger looking like a bust, and a 3rd for a guy who just put up 99 points and has been a PPG player the last 3 years?

Kravtsov has literally said that he wants to play for the Rangers, all points towards him joining the team next year. Lundkvist is probably gonna be the 7th option this year, maybe if Trouba leaves next year, he'll be a full-timer. He's super underrated in the Rags community
