I'm really interested to see what Guerin does with Fiala. Can he talk him into a short bridge to get closer to the end of cap hell? I can't see teams paying top price for him knowing he's gonna come with an 8mil+ price tag, and MIN is kinda up against it. He's worth a lot, but the situation is gonna be quite interesting to watch.

I can see Smith going, not Zacha because Zacha will probably want 2-3.5M and that doesn't really solve the problem. Smith, Sharangovich, and a 2nd closer to the mark. Because Minnesota is "selling" the player, it'll be a similar deal that landed New Jersey Kyle Palmieri, but a little more than they gave Anaheim.

Agreed! I like Smith in the trade but add in a guy like Mercer and the 2023 first top 5 protected. I think that’s fair. We get a good young Dman and Mercer can start either with the kaprizov line or the boldy line. That’ll be between rossi and Mercer though.
