Chicago doesn’t get Sanderson
Nobody should. It's exactly like when Dallas wouldn't trade Heiskanen for Erik freaking Karlsson

Hawks ask for Sanderson instead of Brannstrom or Greig or Pinto instead of Greig as the base of the trade or they aren't interested. The #7OA is in a very weak top 15 this year so it doesn't really move the needle like it would in a typical year.
7th OA + Jake Sanderson?
A problem you might have is thinking that Ridly Greig and Erik Brannstrom have anywhere near the same value. This isn't 2020 anymore.

Brannstrom can't play regular minutes with a bad Ottawa team.
Misinformation. And Brannstrom played an average of 19:46 last season.

The way I look at it, they need to recoup assets from the Jones deal.
The 7th overall, Greig, Thomson/JBD and an unprotected 1st next year is a good start. I would throw in Connor Brown at half retained if they want to move him at the TDL for more assets.
That's more a package for Kane during his prime
7th OA : worth more than a regular "1st"
Greig : easily worth a top-10 pick to the Sens. You instantly turn it down if someone offers you less value for him
Thomson/JBD : worth another first
UNPROTECTED first next year : a shot at Bedard/Michkov if the Sens miss the playoffs? (still likely), also worth a lot
Connor Brown half retained is easily worth a 1st + 2nd at the deadline
This is a CRAZY package, that's 5 firsts and a 2nd with 2 of the first round picks being top-10 worthy. That's a LOT more than what Eichel returned

the 7th overall pick, 2 first round prospects, an unprotected pick from a rebuilding team and basically another first round pick on top of that (Brown's probable deadline return) for Debrincat is hilarious. Debrincat is sick but when is the last time you saw a return like that for any player
Eric Lindros.
