Playoff performance? That’s not comparing apples to apples since Murphy has only played in a handful of playoff games but looked good in those. Chiarot looked awful in these playoffs.

Easier to knock off the puck seems like a very vague definition of one player being better than another.

They actually seem like very comparable players to me but Murphy is younger with less wear and tear since both guys play a more physical style and I like his team / cost control better than what chiarot probably will get on open market in UFA.

Pretty small sample size but he looked good in the limited games and his stats and underlying numbers are right where you’d want them to be.

Like I said tho - not a good apples to apples comparable though which is why it doesn’t make sense to use as a measuring stick as you tried to. The two reasons you gave don’t really prove much or back opinion up.
