You are simply wrong about that, sure we have some cap dumps but most of our players (Anderson being one) have actual value. Just cause you think we will be desperate to move players at a loss, does not make it true. We have no need to move Anderson or anyone, we are currently 2 mil under the cap and have options (buying out Byron gives us another 2 mil ish as dies buying out Drouin) we are not as desperate as you may think.

Josh Anderson had less points last season than Josh Bailey. He had less points last year than Bailey had during the shortened season. And I’m pretty sure he had less points than Maroon did in the playoffs that year too 😂😂😂

The difference is we actually won, a lot might I add, before the recent drought.

True! Your teams were great. A while ago. Same with Ottawa. Just gotta laugh at them sometime. You aren't free of scrutiny just because you have a long history of success. A lot of people are happy you guys aren't winning. It's not fun being bad, believe me. But it's okay to have fun.

Love Stevie Y he will do his best to make sure they'll be great again soon. Just... lighten up a little.

Nik Lindstrom was the best defense man of all time.

Chris Osgood was a goalie...

I don't get what this has to do with my comment above! We still have enough cap space to resign everyone critical and we still have options to create more space other than selling low on players with value. If Price is on LTIR we don't even need to worry about it. Just cause you think Josh has very little value (which by the way is contradictory to what the reports from reputable sources in the industry are saying) doesn't make it true my friend.

For everyone here who think josh anderson is the next coming of alex ovechkin, he’s a 3rd line power forward. you would be lucky to get a late first rounder for him

They reported on the Habs asking price not his worth. Most of the trade is as on this site come from bloggers in Montreal.

From Lebrun

Meanwhile, teams keep calling on Josh Anderson (among them the Oilers, I hear) and what they’re being told by Canadiens GM Kent Hughes is that he doesn’t intend to move him. They want him to be part of their rebuild. Having said that, there’s a sense if teams step up with a serious package led by a top prospect plus other assets that he could be pried away. But all things being equal, the Habs don’t really want to move him.

This is what I meant by bloggers lol. Some NY hockey blog got roasted on Twitter for proposing this trash after talking to habs bloggers.

Danault plays Center and wins an insane # of faceoffs. Lehkonen played in a more reduced roll than Anderson if I’m not mistaken.

No I think you need to Reread the stories, they said multiple teams are calling. The issue is we do not need to move Anderson and the interested teams don't want to pay what Hughes is asking. Would you lower your asking price on Brock Nelson if teams weren't meeting it? No cause you do not have/want to move him so it makes no sense to do so. The same with Anderson, Montreal does not have/want to move him so if teams want him they are going to have to match the asking price.

Feels like ur just using Lehkonen as an excuse to justify an incredible overpayment for Anderson. Can’t compare the two imo.

Habs bloggers have been out there proposing asinine ideas like Beau and 13 for Anderson all week. Don’t be surprised when people point it out.

It’s a direct quote bro

D’Amico also told me that the Islanders 13th overall pick would be a solid framework for a deal.

Hughes said the exact same thing about Lehkonen and Kulak at the deadline. At the end of the day he’s an agent, he’ll say anything and use every opportunity available to him to drive his guy’s price up to get better value for him.

Also this article mentions Edmonton which makes me think they r just trying to get out of a bad contract in the deal. Obviously I don’t know that for certain but I don’t c how else they could acquire him.
