Very true. I never played around with the rest of the roster to try and make something work just wanted to see if the trade was fair or not.

Actually it's 5 at 5.3m he has Holl on ir. But I agree. Dubas would need to be very busy to try and fit a goalie under the cap.

Talbot 50% retained by a 3rd team may do the trick. I'm pretty comfortable starting the season with kallgren, Woll or Petruzzelli as a backup.

Pretty sure Carolina fans would eat you alive for this trade. Hard to get a bearing on what his trade value is. Carolina fans can be a bit hostile. Years of Pesce to leafs trades will do that to a fanbase.

To add to my last comment it seems like the Kapanen trade would be a good comparable. Leafs were said to have looted the pens for a mid first and a B prospect. My concern would be do they want to move Necas.

I offered Sandin for Necas one for one and was met with wild arguments.

Necas value is hard to pin down after a rough season when a lot was expected of him. Because of that most Canes fans are expecting either a trade where we package him with futures to upgrade and get a top 6 goal scoring winger or just keeping him and hoping for a bounce back.
