I don't think that's the strategic plan Rob Blake and Kings management have been following for the past three years. Miller and Garland are excellent and valuable players, but that trade just doesn't feel like us.

Durzi coming into his own this year and Doughty still doing what he does I think Clarke is expendable to bring in someone like Miller.

Clarke and Durzi aren't in the same ballpark. Durzi is a decent enough offensive defenseman that tops out around a #4 guy. At best he'll turn into Sami Vatanen.

Brandt Clarke has the potential to be a franchise defenseman. He could turn into the next Erik Karlsson.

Clarke will make Durzi expendable. LA will be holding on to him.

Kings decline. Not even a conversation to be had. Clarke and Kaliyev arent be trading and if both were in the same package the return would be a whole lot better than Miller.

Doubt LA does that, as Kings fan have said Clarke won’t be traded
