Description
Let Protas Snively Rybinski Zacha all battle for the 1 RW spot... maybe even Clark who has a more "physical" Wilson type game, i would even be opposed to letting CMM play top RW and have Zacha play 3c... theres a bunch of options till Wilson gets back

everything look solid but Alexeyev has more value than that
I know he is injured but adding a 3rd RD pick on top of him for Jordan Spence ?
Kulak could get a better deal, he is one of the best LHD hitting the market

i can.. they pay a 4th for him and if they arent in a playoff spot they can flip him for a better pick. never hurts to have talent on expiring contracts when rebuilding / retooling.. added Eller to balance the cap.

In 3 AHL seasons, Alexeyev has 49 points over 138 games. Jordan Spence has 42 points, in 46 AHL games on his rookie season. He even looked good at the NHL level, his ceiling is much higher than what Alexeyev has shown.

LA doesn't want to downgrade prospects. If they're going to dump a RHD, they're going to package him up with other assets to get a top quality LHD or a top-six winger.

i think him and Spence have very similar values but yes i added a 3rd to balance due to his injury / recovery time. Kulak might get more but defensive d men are constantly disrespected and rarely get "big time" deals.

If they move Dickinson I could see it but as of right now they're pretty much stuck with Dickinson as the 3C. Plus if they do move Dickinson, Jarnkrok would be a much better fit as the 3C given that he's a right shot

why do you thnk point matter in the AHL for dmen? that just poor evaluating. Djoo had 58p in 66gp in his last year in the AHL. Siegenthaler never had an AHL season woth more than 12 points. He's considered one of the best defensive d men in the league. lol points at the AHL dont much matter.

Spence was a 1st team all-star in AHL as a first-year pro, his points may not matter. But Alexeyev has been on a decline of his first round pedigree due to his lack of offensive skill. Spence averaged 18 minutes a night in playoff situations as a first year pro, Alexeyev showed as a player who needs more seasoning while Spence looked like a possession monster and a fast advanced stats darling. Do I really need to explain why one has a higher ceiling than the other?

They have Kuzmenko, Hoglander, Miller/Pettersson, Boeser, Garland, Pearson, and Podkolzin all as wingers currently. There's no spot for him on the wing

NHL time Spence
playoffs
46.99CF% 43.75FF% 38.34xgf%. he got killed in the playoffs when he played
regular season
57.39cf% 57.74ff% 55.21xgf%... looked way better in regular season averaged 16m

Alexeyev played 9 minutes and have 50%FF and a 57.96 xgf%

he never really had an opportunity in the NHL due to our depth but i wouldnt bend over and say Spence is WAY better. Oiler literally ate that kid alive in the playoffs . both are unproven talents. using AHL points is one way to do it but doesnt really tell the entire story

But comparing when these players went pro factors into their likelihood of being an NHL player (I have no doubt Alexeyev will be eventually) but our need is an LD now, which is why you see us selling a lot to get guys like Chychrun or some of the more established defensemen. Where is our rush to move Spence when another year will hopefully bolster his value?

My point was simply that the Kings are looking for bigger game than Alexeyev. I haven't watched him much, but the Kings are after the likes of Chychrun/Provorov/Sanheim/Sergachev. Alexeyev isn't there. And to get one of the bigger name guys, the Kings would like to have Spence as an option for that package because of his showings in both the AHL/NHL.

Doesn't make sense for LA to make a -currently- lateral move.

He absolutely did look rough, but a first-year pro taking on those minutes is incredible, we were down with a lot of injuries and Durzi and Spence's play told me that Durzi is the one with sky-high value that we should move, Spence is a player who still can develop in the AHL and become more valuable. I'm sorry that you disagree, but unless the Kings address top-line scoring or left-shot defenseman what is the value of prospect trading?

i added a 3rd in difference... i clearly understand? you were using AHL points to suggest value or like they are the extremely valuable as far s evaluating players.... again Djoo had 56p last year before making NHL Siegenthaler never had more than 12p... points are cool but hardly the biggest factor. as far as Ceiling go .. they had Alexeyev rated higher than MF and he was a absolute beauty. Hard to evaluate a player that has been injured. Again have you watched Alexeyev play ? do you know his playing style enough to know if hes good or no based off the boxscore sheets you are reading

Alexeyev was going to be on the NHL roster next year.. He got hurt pushing it back 1 year? both guys are on the same trajectory / in the same situation. too good for the AHL but no room for them iin the NHL

To be clear I never responded to you, I responded to someone who said Alexeyev was worth more than Spence, I disagree with that and believe he deserves a sweetener as you provided. I never said your value was off, just why would we do it for a player who has shown more in less time as a professional?

In regards to Alexeyev, I just went over his numbers on frozen tools and another analytic site, I haven't watched him but remember him from the draft. I have watched Spence, and the Kings very rarely get players who put up those type of points in our system.
