UFA- Letang: Based on reports of the Penguins making Letang a big offer I do think that Letang will get the bag and the years he wants and I do think the Pens do a deal similar to this. I think this deal has its upside and of course with age production has downside.
Malkin: Pens sign Malkin back 3 years to finish with Sid.
Rakell: Hextall said no to trading for a rental I could see Rakell take less but with new agent and knowing he could get similar deal in Free Agency I think Pens do re sign Rakell.
ERod: Production in first half of season is why Pens bring him back. When the inevitable injuries to our centres happen ERod can fill in. Why he won't get more is the second half of the season..
DeSmith: Tough start to the season for him but I don't think Pens sign Fleury and DeSmith is a good back up to have fo the time being until our Goalie prospects are ready.
Hinostroza: Decent 3rd/4th line guy wasn't terrible in Buffalo I think his speed is something the penguins will look for in bottom 6.
RFA: P.O.J: Seen trade rumours but I think POJ can step up and be a 6th/7th D man.
Heinen: I think Pens liked the production of Heinen and bring him back still young as well and is versatile in the lineup.
Nylander: I think this is one of the better prospects the Penguins have I think he has more upside compared to Poulin I don't thin Poulin makes the team Nylander is a good fill in guy and could even maybe steal a roster spot throughout the season.
Trades:
Oilers: Okay so this one I don't know if this is realistic but my thoughts were Kappy we've seen his best and seen his worst. I think a fresh start in Edmonton is good for him. He has tons of speed which with the Oilers bodes well for him. Puljujarvi I think a couple reasons why he goes is money and also a fresh start from Oilers as he has not exceeded expectations. Do I think a 4th is enough? Maybe? Maybe a 3rd? But the thought is fresh starts for both players Pens send a pick with it because Puljujarvi has more upside....
Petterson: I think Pens trade Petterson they have seen what he can do and at that price tag I don't think hes worth keeping around. See a lot of Marino trades but Marino is a good defensemen and I think has tons of upside.
Zucker: Cap dump.
