I don't think Calgary can Afford Boeser. If we are trading Monahan and Lucic, they are obviously struggling to sign the big names.

They get $10,525,000 before they sign Boeser so if they make Qo 7,5 they have 3 mil in capspace and 2 better players on the team

Chytil and Kakko are both showing signs of developing into what they were hoped to be, so it's highly doubtful that NY would trade both of them for Garland; therefore, the idea that the Rangers would throw in a good prospect like Lundkvist while accepting the useless Ferland contract is really odd.

Dickinson takes up the rest of that space and is by far the worst player in this trade. If Calgary is paying to dump Lucic (2nd) and Monahan (probably won’t have to pay to dump him at all), we’re not taking back the same amount of cap, including a cap dump with more term.
