Scandella is a dime a dozen player. At most worth a 3rd but I wouldn’t even say that. And i know the dude. Our mothers are friends lol
Ivan is coming off his first year where he hasn’t looked like a bust. Definitely not going to hand my hat on one good year.
Scotty is a good undersides D prospect.

Hey we aren’t Arizona we don’t have the cap flexibility to take JVR dump on for free let alone being paid slightly
It would take a lot to get us to move one of our best prospects and barbashev while taking on 7 mil for a guy who’d be on our 4th line. Not saying phi should do it but the blues shouldn’t be the ones taking on cap in this trade given our cap situation it should be the flyers.
Again Phi shouldn’t do what I mentioned but it’s the only way I could see that trade work otherwise blues say no to everything else.

Barbeshev is awesome and was a huge part of cup in 2019 so wasn’t his first good season. He just showed what he can do offensively at whole new level last year while still crushing people. I don’t want to trade him but blues probably won’t be able resign him after this season with O’Reilly, Thomas, Kyrou, Tarasenko, hopefully some left handed dman to play with Parayko, and/or maybe Tkachuk even if go in other direction on some.

Xercuses - your opinion of the value of Perrunovich at this point is over valued. Both teams would consider trade above as blues would finally be getting LHD they have been missing since bouwmeester retired to play with Parayko in Sanheim. JVR’s cap hit would prob never fit on blues but he’s still a decent player (24 goals last year) just not worth $7m per - It’s only one yr tho. Phi would be getting young player with potential in Perrunovich. Super valuable and cheap player in Barby, and serviceable player in Scandella. But most importantly - cap flexibility to do other stuff.

Maybe and honestly it may be my bad as I don’t think I said it but this isn’t my valuation of the trade more so what I think Armstrong’ would do.
I also really don’t rate Sanheim that high and most trades I see with him I think are overvaluations. I may have gone overboard here but really think that’s what it take to push this trade through for the blues otherwise I can’t see it happening with out retention from Philly
