Description

Since Buffalos future is with UPL, Levi could be someone to drop good assets on. Unsure of Buffalos specific needs but I know their forward prospect depth is filthy and they definitely don’t need wingers. Not sure if the value is off but I feel a high 2nd and previous 1st round pick in muk seems fair, he’s maybe 1 year out from the nhl if all goes well in the A so I’d say he can fit Buff’s timeline.

As a Sabres fan I would say management has spoken highly of Levi. That along with the deal he was a part of, shows how much they like him.

We also have a dearth of goal talent overall in the organization. Likely won’t trade away a goalie at all.

Straight up value isn’t far off, but Buffalo doesn’t have a reason to (and has reasons not to) do this type of deal.

They will try to trade or sign at least one nhl level goalie and if they don’t retain Subban, 1-2 AHL goalies as well,

Levi is the plan to be buffalos long term starter. You'd have a better chance going after UPL.

I think new jersey will look at Conor Ingram and sign a starter (Husso is my bet)

Levi doesn't have this kind of value yet. He may eventually, but not today.

Daws and Schmid are both in same neighborhood, but arrive sooner.

Devils need a young goalie that will compete with Blackwood next year.

2020-21 Canada U20 WJC-20........0.964
2021-22 Northeastern Univ...........0.952
If he only demonstrated this sort of superior GK once, you could be correct, but he does it everywhere and at all levels, against all competition.
If he were draft eligible this year, with that sort of resume, he could be the second GK to be taken first over all.
The 34th OA and a "B" prospect does not move anyone's needle when compared to a player who has Levi's skills and potential.

Two things here:
1. You are listing save % for a Junior A league, a 7-game tournament, and 1-year for a defensive NCAA team. I wouldn't count your chickens yet. He looks good and has lots of promise, but still a ways away.

2. You cut out the most important part of my response. If NJD is adding a goalie, they will need him this year. We have goalie prospects...we need another NHL goalie.
