Description
if capital arent a playoff team at the deadline we can move

Sheary for 2nd... maybe even a 1st who know teams are dumb sometimes
Hathaway for 3rd (14g last year)
Jensen for a 2nd +..... maybe resign him if we can

Trade Orlov for a 1st + prospect ... if we cant extend him.

ALexeyev TVR and Luca jo can battle for the final d spot...

Leason AJF Snively and Heponiemi can battle for the final 4LW spot

Denisenko gets dips on the Top line. if he fails. Lapierre gets the first call up. Hopefully Wilson heals . recovers quickly

I think also having to pay Bob's 13.5 million in bonuses he is due might turn off some owners from acquiring him also.

Capitals owner is loaded so idk if itll be that big of an issue but other franchises i do agree that would be a massive turn off

I would want something much better than Denisenko and Heponiemi to bail FLA out and take on Bob, even at 6m

You know, in thinking about your deal here, I actually think I'd like something like you have here. I know he's an older goalie but he can be very good. I bet he would really like bonding with Ovi, Kuzy, Orly, Sammy and he could thrive here. This move, like any, involves some substantial risk I know but I wouldn't be surprised if it worked out good for the Caps.

like what? they have nothing.. Denisenko is a high end prospect imo... they had him rated better the CMM last year. Bobs stats also arent nearly as bad as you would think

maybe they would give Luostarinen? Or a winger with term like Duclair? We could use both I think...

Duclair is a product of his surrounding. he was either scratched or was suppose to be scratched during the Capitals series. imo Denisenko is high end. if you wanna add another prospect that would be cool. if FLA has any solid RSD prospects you can swap them w Heponiemi but Bob at 6m isnt terrible

The bolded is true for the regular season. That godawful 19/20 season seems like a fluke. What really scares me about him is the career .901 SV% in the playoffs over a 51 game sample.

Im mainly shooting for Bob bc of the assets we can get back with taking on his deal. Goalie for Goalie their isnt a team thats can compete w Tampa / Rangers BUT if you can get average goaltending and have a great team infront of that we might be able to win. PErfect example is the Penguins...id argue to my grave they would be in the cup finals today with average goaltending

Yeah, some of the potential add-ones are fun to dream on. I just don’t know if you can even count on an average performance from him in the playoffs. I usually don’t buy into “he doesn’t show up in the playoffs” type narratives (we saw what BS that was with Oshie), but Bob’s 34 and he’s got such a long track record of playoff disappointments that it really makes me worry that there’s something about his game that translates poorly to the postseason.

Bennet, Duclair, Lundell, or weegar. Squeeze FLA for all they have to be able to save that much money.
