We can't do the "exceptional contract" bit every time he signs a 1 year deal. He's probably got another half dozen of these contracts in him.

I remember when he was rated as a top prospect and expected to become a top tier dman in the NHL. I hope for his sake that becomes true one day.

I was hardly alive at that point but when I first heard he was once given Exceptional Status, I went "who was?" Now he's pretty much a nobody. Edit: Okay now looking at his age I was alive at that time for sure.
