I think that in any Muzzin trade, you'd be taking significant cap back. But I doubt that you'd be getting as useful a player as Matt Roy. Joel Armia or Zack Kassian seems about right, but I don't think that either team is interested in Muzzin or that he would waive for Edmonton or Montreal.

Not sure there's any point in trading for JP if you're signing Nichushkin. Very similar players except one is just a much better version of the other. Although, I do think it's entirely possible for JP to reach his full potential and become another Nichushkin. Regardless, I think it would be wise to have a different "type" of player.

I agree they play similar games but you can never really have enough of what they bring, Colorado has Val and Lehkonen right now who I think play very similar.
