In retrospect the team wouldn't look like this if Sweeney hit on the picks. They would have had to trade one of those players to make cap room, and they likely wouldn't have been able to acquire Hall.

I sure did. I’ve hated Sweeney for quite some time, pretty much since his first off-season. In fairness, debrusk is pretty good.

But holy hell the same ACGM over and over again is boring.

Imagine how good would the leafs be if Dubas didn’t roll over and didn’t give Matthews, Marner, and Tavares sweetheart deals that completely undermine the rest of the roster and forces them to gamble on depth and goaltending?
