Trading the Whole Team Pt 1

Description
Obviously super unrealistic deals. If you have edits to the trades, which I know you will, submit them and I'll make an edit where I fix the ones I agree with. I tried to make it as fair as possible but some of these values are hard to scope etc. Don't say in the comments like "Bruins say no" or "Ducks say no", give some ideas on what to change. Also don't think about what the players matter to the team because that kinda ruins the purpose of trading the whole team. (DOES NOT INCLUDE TRADING THE WHOLE PROSPECT POOL)

Leafs Trade is a hard no, Gibson has not had a good season for awhile and that cap hit is a hard pill to swallow.

Hard pass for the Devils. Sharangovich is just scratching the surface and has chemistry with Hughes.

Carrick has more value, he's was one of the better Bottom 6 players in the league last season.

Henrique's contract isn't as bad as you think. He's still a good player. Not quite worth the money or the term but that deal isn't "terrible".

The Canucks aren't even paying a lot lol. Pearson and Myers don't do anything and don't hold that much value. And no a bunch of picks and Höglander don't make it worth it when the Ducks are giving up their best player in the process.

That Dallas deal is just horrible, sorry for the harsh words. Sequin has been pretty bad and is not worth his contract, ask any Stars fan (@EsoYeezus69). He isn't even close to being worth a Top 5 Goalie prospect in the league, a recent 1st and a 2nd. Especially without retention. And Sequin is not a top line C.

Lundeström and Vaakanainen have more value than that.

Ouuuuffffff...I realize that this thread is a joke-y way to trade everyone, but I'd absolutely die if the Ducks used MacTavish as compensation for dumping Rico, who had 42 points in 58 games this past season (59 point pace over 82 games), especially to get back a non-tender candidate. I like Sharangovich, but no friggin' thanks tears of joy

Henrique had 42p in 58gp. 19 goals. doesnt seem like a terrible contract.

Stützle is one year younger and had a better year than Zegras did at his age... even at their current ages Stützle only had 3 less points. seems irresponsible to give away that much for such a minor upgrade (if you wanna call it an upgrade)

McTavish is going to be amazing. i wouldnt trade him.

Drysdale same... hes a great talent. idk if the idea was to just move everyone for a weird value but i would rather see a great 1 for 1 for a player of similar value

i gave up after this so much to evaluate

again with the caveat that I know that this is a bit: good lord that Isles trade is bad

Nelson (37 goals last year), Mayfield (top 4 D with $1.45M cap hit), #13OA, and Anthony Beauvillier (20 goal guy before his shooting percentage fell off a cliff) for Drysdale (good RHD prospect, nice so far), Pastujov(young winger, not bad, a few years away though), Comtois(mildly concerning), and something called an Axel Andersson?

I think if you weight potential vs. production, the first half of the trades are okay (Nelson/Mayfield for Drysdale/Pastujov), Comtois for Beau is two disappointing LWs changing spots, but that leaves #13 getting traded for Axel Andersson. Whatever value advantage you might give the potential of Drysdale/Pastujov over Nelson/Mayfield's realized production gets absolutely obliterated by this part of the deal,IMO.

Yeah, Segs doesn’t really have the best of value rn. He hasn’t played too well plus he has a massive contract.

If it was Stutzle for Zegras straight up swap, you might have something.

Adding Brannstrom and the 7th overall pick is a massive overpayment.

Okay that's fair, I was more thinking Zegras just provides so much value on and off the ice, and he is one of the most innovative players in the league, so instead of adding Brannstrom and the 7th oa to the deal, what would you suggest adding with Stutzle?

Totally understand lol, just going to ask you a few questions though. The Stutzle for Zegras one I have addressed with someone else, but when you said you wouldn't trade McTavish, neither would I. This is a trading the whole team thing though, and he was considered on the roster, so I have to trade him. Is there any trade involving McTavish you like better? Also what do you suggest for Drysdale?

It's not really a joke thread, I genuinely did try, but I wasn't really sure of all the values of players. What do you think a better deal for McTavish or Henrique would go? I'm going to make an edit using people's suggestions so I would love to hear yours.

Alright, could I hear some suggestions from you? What do you suggest for Carrick, Lundestrom, Vaak, Henrique, Shattenkirk, and Terry? I still think taking on the Seguin contract would be good for Anaheim, I just want to know what a better price would be.

You know, that's fair. After loving Stutzle's play in his first season, I kinda forgot to pay attention to Stutzle. Thanks for the help, I'll fix it in the second version of this I do for the Ducks using everyone's suggestions.

McTavish was a 3oa pick... draft wasnt that strong but that doesnt mean his value has lowered. i would aim high bc i think hes got a ton of potential. i believe him and Beniers have similar ceilings. that being said i would try for Beniers Johnson (kent) Luke hughes if you are looking for D. i think TSN has him as #7 ranked prospect as of April.

Drysdale is amazing, i would trade him for like a Sanderson or Power.. i wouldnt settle for less

Thanks for the input!

Nothing.

The same things you said about Zegras can be said about Stutzle as well.

Z has 2007 times as much value as Stuzle, simply because of the ‘07 Cup win over the Sens.

Why? My understanding is that Timmy’s mother ran into Ray Emery’s (RIP) hummer, causing him to be real, real bad in the final game.
