I have a feeling Brock Boeser is going to be the next forward to be traded

I know this is the wrong thread. But seeing as how I haven't been on CF since the season ended, just thought I'd share my worthless thoughts on what was an incredible NHL season.

First and foremost, it hurts. They were SO CLOSE. But still, I am so proud of the Lightning. Cirelli hurt both shoulders. Hagel fractured a foot. McDonagh mangled a finger. PEB has a torn meniscus. Perry (I almost cried watching his family crying in the stands, poor guy) sprained a shoulder joint. Paul sprained his MCL. Kuch (who really needs to grow up BTW, it's driving me crazy, and I'm a Lightning fan) sprained his MCL. Not a single one of these players missed a single game throughout the playoffs (and this is not even counting Pointer and his torn quad, he did everything he could to come back but there was no chance of his being 100% in such a short time). And STILL, they were 2 wins away from completing the three-peat (and 3 of their 4 losses to the Avs were by a single goal). What a team. And hey, the dynasty's not over! They should be in contention next year again, hopefully-there's work to do in the offseason (moving McDonagh/Killorn, re-signing-Paul/Palat/Rutta), but they can do it, and hopefully the core will be healthy, fresh, and ready for another run next year. Here's to the 4th Stanley Cup win in Lightning history come 2023. #GoBolts

Secondly, congratulations to the Colorado Avalanche. What a heck of a group, really talented bunch and so many players that had been in the league for so long without winning anything (even through my bitterness, I couldn't help but feel a little bit happy for Landeskog and Erik Johnson-both with the Avs for a decade+ without any success). Even though I felt the SCF was a bit marred by atrocious officiating (which hurt both sides), there's no doubt in my mind that the Avs were the better team. They deserve it. Congrats Avs. Shoutout to @UpsideDownQue Here's to a rematch in next year's Cup (just with a different victor )

Finally-WHAT A SEASON!!! From McDavid to Zegras to Vasi to Shesterkin to Makar to Josi to Gaudreau to Marner to Matthews to Tkachuk-what an incredible year. I absolutely love hockey.

Taylor Hall won a Hart Trophy and was then dealt for like 5 picks/prospects. Adam Larsson was mediocre for a few years, finally had a season where you could say he was a decent defensive defenseman, and was then lost for nothing. Hall was always the vastly superior player, and the Devils still have something to show for that trade while the Oilers don’t. The Oilers lost it on day 1, the Oilers lost it throughout the tenure of both players on their new teams, and the Oilers lost it when looking back on it today. It’s an all time terrible trade.

Guerin is the weirdest gm in the league. I love some of his moves and then others are head scratchers. He’s entertaining though that’s for sure

yeah the Devils won but it isn't like the trade was abysmal for the Oilers we got a guy was an important piece on the team for a long time

to be clear I know the Devils won I am just saying that the trade wasn't that bad for the Oilers either considering what Larsson was for the Oilers in the 5 years he was with the team
