The problem with Atkinson to me is he is way to streaky

One month hes awesome putting up points on a nightly basis then the next month he becomes a liability

Had a good season with the flyers but idk at his age and cap hit I would look elsewhere

Now if Flyers were willing to retain I could see teams be interested

Oh, I'm genuinely thinking he could be dealt for the 8th overall straight up, but the 2nd is unrealistic. He's over rated but GMs are calling so they must see something good in him.

Yzerman isnt doing that. If Anderson had a 2.5 x 2 contract I’m sure he could get a mid 1st , but at 5.5 x 5 no one in the top 15 is giving up their 1st.

It’s crazy how overrated he is considering he’s mediocre in the regular season and even worse in the playoffs. If Anderson is moved this offseason I think he’d return a 2nd + B prospect.

The thing with Habs players is that some might not have the most value ( Anderson, Petry, etc ) but if they are moved, it would most likely be for an overpayment due to their value to us, like, is Anderson worth a 1st no, could I see him fetch a late 1st, absolutely

Fletcher did give up pick 14 for Risto so anything’s possible but it’s highly unlikely he gives up the 5th over pick. Pittsburgh has the 21st pick, I guess it’s possible if they don’t qualify kapanen. Unlikely though. 28th is Buffalo and they have smart people in their front office

Yeah I get that reasoning - I just don’t see anyone overpaying for Anderson. I would say Petry is a lot more important to the Habs than Anderson. What exactly does Anderson do for the Habs that makes him important?

It's weird eh? What he is suppose to do vs what he actually does is completely different. He's suppose to be a PWF, but 75% of the time he's just a floater, however teams are still calling Hughes about him so they must see something.
