Doubt the CBJ would move 6th OA if Jiricek or Nemec are available. They would likely just take either of them themselves unless there is a wild trade offer that really blows them away.

Fair enought, thought that that was a stretch myself when I made the trade but it could help the Jackets out as you guys are very thin at C and he could end up being a really decent to quite good players if his stuff clicks again. For the Jackets it might not be worth the risk but I certainly think that he could end up being a lot better than Bemstrom. I totally understand that there is no appeal.

As for the draft picks I don't know if either team does that but it would depend on who is available and what the Sens target is to start the draft. I also think that CBJ will get a very good forward or defenseman at 12 like Minyokov or Chesly.

May I ask you why they would swiftly decline as it's a forward that got benched in the playoffs and wasn't trusted in a key scenerio that you could loss for a lot less in an offersheet and a potential middle six forward that was under a PPG in Russia. For a player that half retained would be worth a 1st + ?

I think that it's probably a mid second. Cause even if Ottawa makes the first round next year they'll likely get knocked out by Florida, Toronto, or New York. Probably will be around where the Pittsburgh's second is.
