I would think the Hawks pass on this offer.

the point was to make the most overpowered team on paper with guys the devils have been connected to/make sense for NJ. didn't really make this with the future in mind.

i dont think you pass when you have the opportunity to get not one but TWO guys as skilled as cat and gaudreau. its likely that blackwood stays, this isn't supposed to be a prediction, more what I would do. at this point, as much as I love him and see the potential, another season down the drain as a result of inconsistent goaltending would be detrimental to this young core. ullmark is a safer option.
