If you can resign Copp and pay Kakko what’s he’s worth that’s going to put you in a tough spot. Losing Copp and keeping Motte seems easier. Compher at 3.5 is a good two million cheaper than Copp likely will be

Avs have lots of young fwds who can make the jump into the line up next year, such as Maltsev, Kaut, even oskar olausson. They will go youth in the bottom 6 and keep their D core strong and deep is more likely

Signing Strome to that contract and term would be a good way to end it immediately. Rodriguez is the classic going to get overpaid for being able to play with a super star but is Really just a 20 pt guy.

Resigning Manson? Now that’s not even something I considered. Has he really been that impressive? I don’t see the amount of avs games as an avs fan but what I do see doesn’t make me think they wouldn’t want to keep him. I think he’s been about on par with Erik Johnson and not the player we expected to see after that trade

Rantanen played on that line forever and it was as good as any in the league. And why okay Meyers with Newhook? Two kids on the same line can work (NYR with 3) but it’s not something I would want to do. And you can’t honesty like Burke right? It’s a trolling job I assume? The guy is a walking disaster

Hes been the perfect partner for Girard, they balance eachother out. Same as EJ with Byram. They are able to confidently roll 3 pairs of D without hesitation. Price has to be right on Manson, but he has been open already about wanting to stay in Colorado if he could, if the Avs can find a way to make the cap work, I think hes one of their top priorities after Nichushkin and Kuemper
