Pretty realistic, your not blocking any prospects because they will all be ready to go. Pretty close to what Evolving Hockey has with contracts.

The marchment idea is intriguing, I suspect you may find yourself in a bidding war. Nobody ever says "we need to be smaller and less aggressive", plus his offensive numbers from last season are pretty nice. I haven't seen anything but speculation, but I thought the ufa right d we were gonna pursue was gonna be pk subban. You have peterka on line 4 and Quinn in the press box, but I don't see it as a big problem because it will be short term- there will be injuries and slumps, hopefully when they are given their chance they kick the door down.

Is Marchment worth having Quinn in the box?
I'd say no but others would say yes. So I guess it depends on what aisle you're in.
To me I would rather be in the same boat as this past year with the development of Quinn peterka and power. Than getting some ufas even if to start they would be more quality.

Good Hockey teams don't stop bringing in talent because there afraid to block a prospect. If the prospect is good enough they will find a spot. It just gives you more usable assets or trade chips.

I can see something very similar happening this off season. Marchment's a pretty gutty left-winger with size and good scoring acumen. Gudbranson's a big righty that plays with edge, and Campbell at that price might suffice although I think they go cheaper, er more "efficient and economical" (but probably much less effective.)

Am assuming UPL is in the AHL?

Quite possibly regarding other teams bidding on Marchment.

I used his predicted salary and term from Evolving Hockey's contract prediction service on their site.

The idea was to create at least a little competition for roster spots, such as at forward and in goal, and not just gift players places on the roster.

I think they'll go cheaper pretty much everywhere because they're cheap 😆😂😅, agreed.

UPL would either start in the AHL and be up if an injury happens, or if he wins a job in camp, Comrie would be waived to Rochester.

Fair enough, I just think that Quinn and peterka won't gain anything from being down in the AHL.

With the likelihood of injuries, especially with the Sabres injury history and how they handle them, Peterka and Quinn will both end up playing a lot of Sabres games, even if they begin the year in Rochester.

Assuming Quinn can finally be healthy...
