First off, bergeron has already said he isn’t considering playing anywhere other than boston.

Secondly, i actually am pretty sure both players really hated cassidy.

Bergeron said he wont play anywhere else, and Sweeney and co. will try to negotiate with 88. their window to negotiate and get a deal done opens after the draft, so 2022 would be out of question. Nonetheless, pieces or not, rental or not - you need to be getting a 1st round pick in any trade for 88. Unless Pasta makes it very clear he wont stay, id imagine a trade (if there is one) would happen after the draft.

Tomas Tatar is an expensive rental who turns 32 at the start of next season. That's not the sort of player a rebuilding team like Anaheim goes after, especially when the Ducks have so many young middle-6 forwards they're trying to sort out for the future by giving them playing time.
