Horrible trade for Boston on the Marchand deal. He should easily fetch 1 or 2 1sts.
Also, Boston shouldn't have to give up Hall for a cap dump. Just have to give up another 2nd line forward or a 1st rounder.
Isles decline becuase Isles don't need more Dman. Better off keeping that 4th rounder.

Marchand is still a beast of a player despite the years and injuries. I prefer him playing for Boston because then everyone can hate Boston.

Islanders are actually probably going to be aggressive to add a top 4 LD this summer since they have a massive hole there. I don't think they go for Reilly though

Agree, Isles will go for a better LD for their 2nd pairing. Or just use Salo instead and save 6M (3Mx2) for Reilly's contract.

They need someone more experienced than Salo IMO. I see them targetting one of Chychrun, Girard, or Sergachev this offseason

Sergachev is a FA at the end of next year and will want a huge payday and that's not in the cards for the isles. We won't go after him.
Girard- he sucks, injuried all the time and is smal and can't play defense.
Chychrun has been talked to death but you will have 5-6 other teams going after him. At the end of the day, he will cost too much as far as trading pieces.

I see the isles going after FA guys like Zadorov, Leddy, Chiarot, Colin Miller, Schultz. Maybe make a cap deal with Vegas who has to shed big money. Maybe get McNabb cheap.
