I think NJD does this so fast and I think if Boston makes this trade they rebuild and hope to win the lottery next year

If pasta did become available especially with an extension that is supposed to be worked on in early july according to Pasta's agent. their would be huge market for him.
I could see teams like NJ, Anaheim, LA, Detroit, Islanders, Senators, Flyers, Rangers(in need of RH wingers badly), Kracken(Big name to jumpstart franchise) all be in the race for him so it would be very shocking if boston didn't get an overpay

i see what you are saying now, but ya i don't see B's taking anything less then what they got for kessel in 2009. Not to mention Pasta is much better then kessel was at that time.

I think its pretty unlikely that 88 gets moved before that July 13th date (i think that is the date) when negotiating starts. Once negotiations begin i think some questions will begin to answer themselves. Reason i bring this up is it takes the 2nd overall pick out of play because the draft would have already happened.

All this would change if 88 came right out and said he wasnt gonna resign - but i think BOS will try to get a deal done this offseason and then look at options if they cant get it done.
