Minnesota passes, they're in a cap crunch and Ryan McDonagh makes $6,750,000 x 4 years the term is too long. Trading Dumba for McDonagh makes zero sense for the Wild.

Wild pass since McDonagh is more expensive, and the Canes pass since they have no need and no room for Dumba. Plus, if the Canes wanted Dumba, they could just cut out Tampa entirely and have a third team that can actually retain salary be the broker.
