Is Necas the second coming of Jesus or something? I swear I see him as the main piece in every major Canes trade yet his career high in points is 40. Yes, he's only 23, but he hasn't vastly improved in any way over his first 3 seasons. His underlying numbers are below-average at best, and anytime I watch a Canes game he doesn't particularly standout, either. There's just no way a 40 point winger/center that is slightly young can be the main piece in a trade for a true star player.

    That's dirt-cheap for Fiala, bro.
I don't think he's worth the 2OA, but he's worth more than this package.

He'd definitely be an interesting addition for the Canes.

I’m concerned how Fiala disappeared in the Playoffs for the Wild. If the question is whether he is the answer, my guess is probably not. It’s an expensive experiment IMO…giving up assets (we can argue the trade value)plus a very large contract.

Is Fiala the seconds coming of Jesus or something? The guy wants a massive contract and you expect another team to shell out a ton of assets for a guy they know the wild can’t afford to sign. The wild have no leverage in a Fiala trade. If they can get a mid first for him they should take it and run

Wasn't referencing this trade specifically, sorry on that part. But I have seen people suggesting he can be traded for players like Nylander or Debrincat.

They could just trade Dumba and re-sign Fiala. Your “no leverage” argument is false.

They had "no leverage" in a McBain trade and somehow got a 2nd. Me thinks you have no concept of what no leverage actually means.
