I'd argue that the other deals are all under-market too - Copp should get $5M+ in AAV, Motte pushes at least $2M, and I would be surprised to see Justin Braun do the Mark Giordano deal - Gio did it because he was born in Toronto and wanted to stay there, but Braun is a Minnesota guy with no ties that I know of to NYC.

Sabres already have Okposo, Asplund, Tuch and Quinn on the right along with a number of other players and prospects who can play both wings. Kravtsov just doesn't fit since he's ready for the NHL and would block or be blocked by other players.

He has said he has intent to play in the NHL. In light of the political/economic situation in Russia- not sure if or how that might hurt the KHL...but it's certainly not going to help things. Over here, the NHL is about to finalize a TV deal which should bring a lot of money into the league. So if he wants to stay home- that's his choice...but the things I just mentioned are good reasons for him to want to get to the NHL- and quickly!

And if Lias Anderson was worth a 2nd, Krav is worth considerably more.

probably not a good fit for BUF since BUF seems to have their top 6 forwards in place to move forward. Best fit is with a team just beginning its rebuild- AZN, MTL, etc. He had an issue with going to Hartford...but seemingly has backtracked and said he'll play in AHL with another organization. He definitely has maturity issues- the question is whether he grows up and displays it in time to get an NHL career back on track. Pretty sick hockey skills though!
