Description

Unless re-upped, Soucy may be on the move, by trade deadline at the latest. Was of much interest at the recent trade deadline. Alternatively, I think Francis would move Dunn for a great return if he's more anyone's appetite.

Picks and prospects, methinks to acquire one or the other. Perhaps Seattle couples one of them with one or more of the ample picks they already have . . . with focus towards moving up in the draft (acquiring a second 1st rounder) Of course scoring help and RHD are a definite need.

Not limited to the teams I included, but made "inquisitive" deals with teams I feel might be a fit in a trade. Curious for feedback. Thanks!

In terms of non-NHLers, maybe like 2 2nds and a prospect. Not too sure, but they won’t move the 1st

Soucy is a 3rd pairing D-Man, he is worth at most a 2nd.

Dunn is a 2nd pairing D-Man who is worth a Late 1st and 3rd. Isles do not have a late 1st and not moving the 13th for him 1 for 1. Dunn + LAK 1st Round for NYI 1st Round + 2nd. Sea moves up 6 spots in the Draft and acquires a 2nd.

Isles prob trade something like 2 2nd's for Dunn. Wilde could be involved too. It depends on the whole scope of the deal. Don't think they move a 1st for either though

Kings would need to be out on Chychrun to go after this trade.

Kings offer 2nd + Akil Thomas for Dunn, they are not interested in Soucy or other rentals.

Roy, Faber, and the 1st round picks aren't likely available.

Dunn was interesting for Detroit last year but with the amount of prospects we now have and the amount of veterans available cheap from cap-strapped teams like PIT, VGK, WPG that are available this summer we would only offer a 2nd round pick for him.

Kings are looking for a younger, top-four puck moving LHD with term. Dunn is a viable option for that, Soucy is not.

I'd give up a 22' 2nd, 23' 2nd and a prospect like Thomas or Dudas for Dunn.

Soucy doesn't fill a need for us because Anderson and Bjornfot should be sufficient to hold down two LD slots, with Jakob Moverare available in case of emergencies, and Soucy is a rental anyway. And there's always the chance that if we don't land Dunn or somebody better, we could re-sign Alex Edler.

I'd pay Grans and a second or two seconds for Dunn.
