Not another 20 man roster that doesn't work. Forsberg had a great season, but throughout his career he has been a 65 point player per 82 games. Seems like too much $$$$ and even term to me.

Canes don't usually carry more than 21 anyway, so it doesn't really matter. Especially because Drury is waiver exempt and can go down to make space in an emergency

Olofsson is worth more than a Dman who was scratched multiple times and a 4th. He'll also get more than 3.7m a year.

Gonna have to increase those offers to get those guys. Tda also probably would need at least 2 years

I agree not enough for Olofsson, but I dont think that zona trade is far off at all. I'd imagine they keep necas and then trade skjei to the best fit for them. The bigger hiccup in this is that Skjei has a 10 team no trade and I am sure the Yotes are on that list.

Yeah, didn't really think about his NTC. You could probably flip Skjei to another team that's not on the list though and use that asset for the package - I don't think ARI has too much use for him now anyways so they'd probably prefer the picks/prospects you could get for him.

No that it makes no difference to the Ottawa cap situation.....but there is no such thing as LTIR/retires. He's on LTIR, (for an unknown) or he retires.
