Pass on Poolman - even with retention there's just no need there. I was confused when you guys signed him last year.

Hard no from Vancouver. Carlo is a good top 4dman but not enough upside for a straight up deal for Miller. Also Rathbone has much higher upside than Studnicka who is at best a future 3C and more likely a 4th liner IMO.

Maye the deal isn't so much about Miller as it local boy Rathbone. He would probably be the Bruins #2 LHD ahead of Grzelcyk, Forbort et al.

Would rather just have picks/prospects. Don't think Poolman is good and don't want him for 3 more years (I think that's what he has left). Would rather give some young guys who are ready an opportunity than clog it w/ him (Keane, Sellgren, Chatfield).

Canucks need a top 4 RHD more than they need Miller at this point.

I get that but you still need to maximize value. Only getting Carlo back would be selling low on a player that is at peak value.
