Isak Rosén a signé un contrat de 3 ans d'une valeur de 4 350 000 $ avec les Sabres de Buffalo, le 31 mai 2022. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 894 167 $.
Buffalo had a plethora of early picks, they could afford to take a chance on Rosen, who could turn out to be a fantastic player
4 points in 28 SHL games doesn’t scream greatness. I mean he could turn out to be good, anyone could. Still a huge reach imo, even tho the 2021 draft was historically weak anyway

He was getting about 7 minutes a game. Similar situation with Aatu Raty when he was on Karpat. Hard to produce when you don't get any ice time.
Wasn't even a huge reach either. Pretty much everyone had him ranked in the teens / early 20s. McKenzie had him at 18.

He's buried in Leksands. They hardly play him and when they do he's in the bottom 6 with bums. That's why BUF rushed the signing to get him in Rochester to keep his development on track.

Lemme help you out with some SHL facts for 1st round picks sent back to SHL
Lucas Raymond- 6 goals
Mika Zibanejad - 13 points
Erik Karlsson- 10 points
The SHL is a very hard league to put up big numbers, especially for a kid. Eklund had low numbers playing 3C for a very bad Djurgarden team this season. Doesn't mean squat.

Lol. Yeah, those stats don't have any justification
The team wanted to get more control over his development. He performed well against his peers but was being wasted on an SHL roster where he wasn't getting minutes. Rather than letting him continue to develop in the J20 or HockeyAllsvenskan. He needs to add some mass and signing him let's the Sabres decide where he goes next season whether that be the AHL or possibly trying to get him into the OHL import draft.
