have a strong feeling Lambert does not make it past the 11/12 pick. I think he fits exactly what the sharks are looking for if one of the top D guy doesn’t fall, and if sharks do go D then Columbus would probably snag Lambert.

I was thinking sharks go lekkerimaki if avaiable. I am cool with one of geekie, lambert, lekkerimaki, korchinski if there at 16

If Matthew Savoie is there at 8 Yzerman takes him, He's not afraid to draft small. Brayden Point is a prime example.

Most likely sharks go for Mintyukov or Korchinski if they fall otherwise Lambert is they prototype they have been drafting lately, very skilled but lacking some coaching, the last two drafts sharks have reached a bit or picked controversial players with higher upside and depended on their development team to round the player in’s into shape, and it’s working really well. Lekkermaki has been rumored with him playing with Eklund but sharks badly need size and speed after picking Eklund Bordeleau, Robins, & Gushin in the last few drafts.

Ooooffff that is a lot to give up for Gibson who has been declining every year. I would only did it if they could replace the first with a second.

Not sure theyd be down for that, that trade would take place at the 2023 draft depending on how well UPL does

A 2024 1st doesn't help the Ducks for like 5 years so that makes no sense. Your 2022 1st in that package makes Verbeek have a little more reason to think about dealing Gibson

As @OldNYIfan says, either you think Gibby fixes your goalie problem or he does not therefore you have to make Verbeek want to deal him

Yeah I think ducks will need about 5 years to be good from now. I guess you can keep him, I was just having a prayer with a different system in front of him he can get back to above a 910 save percentage which he hasnt done since 2018, if its that high of a price, sabres just go ufa route

It is an overpay, Ducks fans just over value Gibson, which I get.

he doesn't need to be dealt, therefore why he would need a nice deal to get him a UHaul to move away from Anaheim

Yeah and Id argue a 50 point roster player, a good prospect dman whos from cali, a first and a seconds is more than fair, keep him tho

That was my point in saying the Ducks fans over value him. The Ducks have 2 good NHL goalie prospects so IMO they would be better off moving Gibson for additional pieces that (Johnson and Olofsson) that could be part of the young core that will bring the ducks back to playoffs.

That said, I'm not high on Gibson, I feel like he is going to fall off a cliff any season now so I'm rather biased in this assessment.

Yeah I guess could substitute with the florida first if you prefer, a 9th or 16th overal pick isnt getting attached to that

If you substitute the Las Vegas first for the over-the-horizon 2024 pick, which won't help us until the second half of this decade, I can see Anaheim considering this offer.

Olofsson is not the gem that most Buffalo fans think he is, despite their constantly including him in every trade scenario, given his defensive shortcomings. One thing Anaheim doesn't need is a forward who doesn't defend well. And Ryan Johnson is a pure future who isn't even under contract yet. It's hard to justify trading five years of a starting goalie without getting noticeable immediate help.

Be a little more honest here. It's not "a first and a second," it's a future second and an over-the-horizon first. And twice we've had the experience of a vaunted prospect not signing his ELC with us and allowing our rights to expire, so Ryan Johnson doesn't make our hearts throb, either. I'm not arguing that we should get Dahlin or Power, or your own 2022 pick, but either you think Gibson solves your goaltending problem, or you don't. If you do, you have to pay a serious price for him. Just look at what one year of Darcy Kuemper cost, and double that.

I mean he is included in every scenario because he is the odd man out. You arent trading krebs, tuch, quinn, peterka. Skinner isnt getting moved for obvious reasons, have 3 first rounders this year, asplund is great and mitts will be wing or center. He is a great player but just not a fit here. Again in reference to a goalie deal that is my only basis would be the schneider deal between van and nj and I believe this package is more valuable. In suppose could switch 2024 sabres with 2023 leafs as shown above but you are not getting 9th overall or the sabres 1st in the 2023 draft for obvious reasons unless it was top 15 protected.

I disagree. Virtually every time he gets traded by a Sabres fan in an ACGM, the OP extols his virtues like he's the second coming of Mike Hoffman, only better.

He put up 50 points on a sub par team while being injured for 50% of the season, he is a good player, refer to earlier comment on why hes out
