I really like the look of this roster, minus trading Jake Allen. Husso is too much of an unknown and Primeau is not NHL-ready.

I wasnt sure because I see Primeau is killing it right now in AHL playoffs and STL will need a back up. Maybe MTL overpays Kuemper?

I don't think they should be overpaying/"overterming" anyone until they know what the future holds for Carey Price. It can screw them hard if he comes back. I wouldn't mind a guy like Husso/Holtby to share the net with Allen. But yeah Primeau is killing it right now but he was awful this season in the NHL.

I think Montreal would do the Pittsburgh trade in order to get 21st overall pick. The Habs are taking on some money ($1.5M) but I think it is probably worth it to move from 33 (Calgary's second rounder) and and 61 (Edmonton's second rounder) to 21.

Kapanen can sign with Montreal for cheap or they could let him walk. Seems he adds no major value to the team.

Kapanen needs away from Mike Sullivan. Martian St Louis will get him back to the way he was playing in TOR. His speed and skill will go good with Caufield and Suzuki. Another piece is Zucker, good hard worker-- can fit nicely with this team and/or be flipped at deadline retained for a decent return.
