Moves explained:
-As the 7th defender, P.K Subban will split time between the Leafs and Sportsnet. Sign Malcom Subban as the 3rd string goalie to that ensure P.K signs and in case of injury.
-Bringing in two Stanley Cup Champion goalies in Murray and Holtby to lead the Leafs to Back to Back Stanley Cups in the two year window. Bonus: Matt Murray is an Ontario Kid
-Kadri takes the RNH contract essentially but gets a little more at 5,143,910 too make up for trading him to Colorado, the first 3 years he will be getting paid 9.1m/yr in salary to make up for the years he spent there.
-Sign Sandin and Liljegren for 3 years to match the 3-year Marner window. Along with Niemela that will take more responsibility for their development. If we win the Prez then that's great, if we end up in a wild card position and play in the Metro, that's fine too.
-Crouse, another Ontario Kid, he gets 2.5mx3 since he only has 0.313pt/G on vs Kerfoot's 0.519 who signed 3.5mx4
-Spezza gets 750,000 (the 50k to show appreciation for getting Gio to stay will have to be under the table. He will split time playing with Simmonds.
-Kase and Engvall come back at 2m
Long-term goals: Extend Matthews for 13.434mx8 (next contract: 16.34mx8-he will be going for 18 consecutive 60G+ seasons) and Nylander for 8.888m*8 (Next contract is identical unless he changes his number to 98, then he can get a matching contract), Marner for 11.16mx8 (next contract: 16mx8) and Tavares 9.1mx5: ~2m total increase)
Matthews, Marner, Tavares, and Nylander become partial owners of the Leafs: 34%, 16%, 2.2%, and 8.8% respectively. Matthews with the help of Tavares becoms the owner of the Coyotes.
Marner becomes President of the Leafs, Tavares the GM, Nylander AGM, and Spezza becomes the Head Coach (after serving as a trainer for the Leafs) with Gio being the PK Coach, Reilly the PP Coach. Andersen gets the goalie coach job. Thorton, Marleau, and Simmonds become scouts. Dubas takes a lesser role when he prepares to retire and becomes assistant GM/President of Marlies. Director, Player Personnel: Nazem Kadri
-Muzzin gets placed on LTIR after suffering a concussion playing golf, perhaps he returns for the post-season.
Wow. Kadri had 87 points in 71 games. 10 points in 10 playoff games so far. And he's getting a 643k raise? He should just stay in Colorado for that price.
2. Neimela top pair? A little ambitious don’t you think?
3. That’s pretty low for Kadri.
4. You cant just LTIR people just cuz you want too.

It's all explained in the description or should be I might have forgot to mention Crouse
if Ottawa moves Murray, I don't think it would be to bring in another struggling goalie, but to make a space for Gustavsson who won't be waiver exempt next season.

There's a lot of flexibility for what can be done, the way it's set up is so that everyone had a mentor. Gio seems to like Liljegren, but there is the possibility with switching them around at times.

In terms of cap, Ottawa gets the bad end of the deal but perhaps they can move Mrazek to a different team (a buy out wouldn't make much sense probably but maybe)

In the end the goal is to have these lines:
Reilly-Niemela
Sandin-Liljegren
Gio-Brodie
I doubt he’s nhl ready yet, but even if he is I don’t think he’s ready to jump into top pairing minutes.

I found a way for Kadri to get 2m more.
Trade Kase and Engvall to a team and get them to sign them and retain 1m of their caps in exchange for a 2nd and 3rd, if Zona can still retain on another 2 contracts then they would get two 2nds and three 3rds for doing so
Let me know which teams would be best suited for retaining 1m for 2 years, preferably though one that can retain contracts on both players
Worst case the Leafs probably end up in a wild card position, sneaking into the Metro division. Subban will be used as well
Huh? What does that have to do with Neimela?

Im assuming the top wild card spot will be an Atlantic team, if playing Niemela leads to loses. As long as they make to the playoffs, that's alright. They can use Subban at times so that they don't lose too many games, or play Niemela in a more sheltered role at times,

Idk I’d just rather sign someone with experience to league min and play him there.
Why does Ottawa do this? They add so much cap for no benefit
Justin Holl, the next Zaitsev. Buying out Colin White gives them the cap to retain Mrazek and Holl can replace Del Zotto. If Mrazek makes a come back then, they can trade him to a team in need of goaltending during the season and then call up Gustavsson

I just wrote this in another ACGM with a Murray-Mrazek swap proposal :
Both Murray and Mrazek are very injury prone but I'm sure Ottawa would rather have Murray, easily.
Unless they value the 6.4 M$ salary difference (for the remaining 2 years of their contract) more
Hard to say at the moment as the owner passed away recently and the team hasn't been sold yet.
Very high chance Murray just ends up on LTIR anyway
The fact that Ottawa retains $3,125,000 here makes it an AWFUL AWFUL trade for Ottawa

If Ottawa wanted to bet on an inconsistent injury prone goalie they'd just run it back with Murray.
As far as Holl is concerned, I'd take him over Zaitsev and probably Hamonic too, but in an ideal world I'd want none of them.
Sens do better just sitting on Murray for a year and dealing with that contract next offseason
