TBH Montreal probably takes both these but the Knights won't work for them since they need major cap space not just 1 Mil or less

Unfortunately I cannot post it today because CapFriendly limits to 10 posts a day, but in the VGK page of my mock offseason you can see how it all works out. The major thing they do to fit under the cap is essentially trust Logan Thompson as a #1. Which I get is a risk but he has played *really* well, they basically trusted him as their primary goalie with their season on the line already, and imagine what VGK could do with a starting goalie costing under $800k.

Would Weber instead of Armia not make more sense? Since they would just LTIR him anyway?

Montreal fans, I know there is a lot of issues with Mailoux and you guys picking him. what would you accept in a trade for him? i was thinking a 2nd and a prospect.

If not for his behavior in Sweden, he would of been inside the top 15 for the draft that year. I *think* he was the best projected D in that draft until he did what he did. I personally think he should hold a decent value and I'd trade him to the sharks for the RFA rights to Kappo Kahkonen.

see the sharks are really high on Kahkonen you could have Hill
i agree with you that Mailoux is a solid prospect, i think he was actually the 5th ranked D man but that has a D heavy draft. what about Dahlen and a 3rd or Kinazev and a 2nd?

Depends on the new management. Talent is there as a big RHD, he could be quite something. Skating is elite! I hope they keep him. He has a lot of promise if he can keep maturing.

Hill isnt worth more than Allen. Whom they trying to move. Cayden Primeau has really showed up in the AHL playoffs and carrying Laval rn after that horrible season in Montreal playing behind a historically bad defence. Primeau is showing his worth behind a decent team.

They'll look for a goalie in free agency or ride Monty/Allen/Primeau if Price doesnt return.

agree with you in Hill value, I just know the fan base was upset on the mailoux drafting so I was curious if they were interested in moving him.
