Potential Strome Destinations and Mock Trades

Équipe: 2022-23 Blackhawks de Chicago
Date de création initiale: 26 mai 2022
Publié: 26 mai 2022

Description
Carolina Trade: With Trochek likely walking in free agency, the 2c is empty and Strome could be that player to fill the gap. If the hawks want to get their team to contend for Bedard and tank, then they must trade Strome. The Hawks get a conditional second and a prospect in Jack Drury and also get an offensive defenseman prospect as the final small piece. Jack Drury will likely crack the Hawks lineup and continue to develop as the Hawks look to tank for a top pick and hopefully Bedard.

Ottawa Trade: The Sens have their 7th overall pick and are willing to trade it for a player plus more. This pick holds less value than previous years, so the hawks, who are looking for a first-round pick, trade a point per game center and a former first-round defense prospect as well as the 38th pick to move up to 7th overall. This is leaning towards the Hawks winning this trade but let me know in the comments what should be tweaked.

Boston Trade: Boston is looking to win now as Bergeron's time is counting down and so is the rest of the Bruins core. They lack a 2c and Strome could be a fit for the role. The Hawks get John Beecher who looks like he could be a solid top 9 player and a 2nd rounder as well. The bruins look like they win this trade, so since the bruins are taking a chance on Strome, the Hawks take a chance on Beecher on becoming a good top 6 player.

Acquiring strome isn’t exactly a, “win now,” move.

Canes pass for multiple reasons. First of all, the 2C spot is not open, as that will be KK’s spot next season. Second of all, Drury is NOT getting traded, and will very likely be taking the 4C role next season. Seeley also has a chance to make the roster next season, so that likely doesn’t happen either.

I mean giving up prospects and picks when you have an aging core means win now. Strome can also be a part of your future.

KK isn't good enough and I don't think he's the type of player to get you far in the 2c role. He's a bust and that contract won't look good.

0.6 isn't point a game and not worth dropping 31 spots.

We will offer you our 2 seconds in the 2022 draft for Strome.

There are a few players we would spend #7 on.

Strome is not one of them.

    Whats funny?

That much is undetermined, as is whether or not the bruins are in win now mode. Those were your words, not mine.

That being said, i would rather stick with haula than trade for strome.

I dont know what ig means, but anyway, that isn’t correctly identifying the problem. There’s plenty of depth. Coyle is a solid player, so is nosek, lazar, frederic, McLaughlin, haula etc etc. Heck, I’m still mystified as to why studnicka didn’t get a longer look.

2C is a position that the bruins would definitely want to address to improve the team. Haula performed really well once becoming the 2C, but they can do better, and he would be better served as a 3C. But strome doesn’t address that at all. Haula was far more productive at 5 on 5, and a heck of a lot more responsible. Given that neither of those guys are sniffing top PP duties in Boston, I don’t view this is any sort of an upgrade.

Also, its not, “you guys.” I’m not on the team.

And you think Strome is better? Well, I guess since he clearly wasn’t carried by Kane and DeBrincat he must be a star, and worth every penny too. Not a complete failure who need elite linemates to have any success whatsoever. If you want to think KK is a bust, that’s your opinion, however it is wrong, so don’t go flaunting it like it’s the end all be all of everything.

We can just see which team would get farther: Chicago with Strome as their 1C, or the Canes with KK as their 2C. I mean you clearly haven’t watched any of the time that KK was given a top 6 role this season, or hell, just more minutes. First ever 3 point game, with his linemates on the 4th line, and having success when he was thrust into the 2C role behind Trocheck during the Canes Covid stretch. But yeah, KK is totally a bust and won’t have any success at all. I have a feeling you will be eating you words very soon.

yeah nobody there is enough for 7OA. I assume you just kinda hoped that nobody would check to find out that Dylan Strome was, in fact, not a point per game this year, Sens don't need a 2C anymore, that was last offseason.
