NYR have 2 bona fide superstars at LW. I wonder if they'd consider trading Lafreniere for reinforcements at centre should Strome not resign, and added defence prospects, plus a high draft pick.

Sorry, I meant more from a points production perspective. It took 6 or 7 seasons to be a point-per-game superstar. You are correct about the Calder.

Agreed on the lottery protection. I know that's a hefty package, but just looking at other options at wing other than Fiala, Giroux, etc. And I love Pinto. This is why I am only a GM on this site.

I think you're right. I admittedly don't know the Rangers long term plan, but they have an embarrassment of riches at left wing. I thought they were crazy signing Kreider to that massive extension, but he's proven me wrong, and Panarin is a top 3 LW in the NHL. I think the Rangers would have fared better from a whole-team perspective with Tim Stu as their centre behind Zibanejad vs. Lafreniere as a 3rd line LW (or playing on his off wing).

Winnipeg likes Pionk, and he's a valuable piece in their top 4, so even if JBD is a decent prospect, it's a decline.

I'm not a Sens fan, but I doubt many would want to give up all of that for a guy who hasn't been close to showing he was worth the 1st overall pick.

ya no, NYR would be hard pressed to get 32nd OA for Laf yet alone a top 10 pick., just because a player was picked 1st OA dont mean they are worth more than Eichel, Erik Karlsson (at time of trade, not when the 1st became 3rd) or any Elite player traded in the last 10+years....

No dream here. Just a genuine curiosity where the Rangers see him fitting in with Kreider and Panarin as the top 2 LW. Does he move to his off wing? If they ever did trade him, this certainly would be a fantastic package.
