Ottawa has plenty of Anderson caliber wingers who are not signed long term and don't cost a 5.5 AAV. They could even re-sign Nick Paul as a UFA if they wanted.
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
????????? - Stutzle - ?????????
Formenton - Pinto - Brown
Kelly/Crookshank - Kastelic/Gambrell - Watson
Mathieu Joseph and Colin White are/will also be under contract. Don't even know where to place them right now. Oh and there's several high end/good prospects who will also try to crack the lineup, like Ridly Greig and Viktor Lodin.
So what they need is a CLEAR CUT Top-6 forward to play with Stutzle, not adding to the log jam while accruing the total cap
So this is not the way the Sens are going to spend their 7th OA pick, IF they spend it.

maybe edmundson at 50%, anderson and our 33rd pick, and farell might do the trick. even then its barely enough tbh, both edmundson and anderson are worth a 1st but not a top 10 first, a playoff team's 1st which is late in the round is what they are worth tbh.
Stop, you don't understand. Ottawa is not spending a 7th OA pick on anything else than a Top-6 WINGER or a Top-4 RHD to play with Chabot.
They don't need to make a quality for quantity trade. Tyler Boucher, their 10th OA pick from last year, is barely a Sens top-15 prospect at the moment. 18th y/o Zack Ostapchuk is like their 13th best prospect and he just scored 23 pts in 12 playoffs games. They don't need Farrell and Harris.
