Probably the end of Hextall's and Poile's careers as GMs though. Zucker and Foligno don't waive for Habs anyway.

Just to address and clarify some of the things on here:

    1. Wright and most likely any other draft pick will not play in the NHL as they missed a year because of COVID, hence why I didn't include them
    2. There's already a Weber trade in place, so don't judge mine, I just put that because Arizona needs to hit the cap floor
    3. The Petry trade is assuming the Penguins can't re-sign Letang. It might seem like a lot on the surface, but Jason value has an awful contract and Petry is a great replacement for Letang.
    4. Foligno has negative value and the Bruins are gonna try to compete as long as they have Marchand and Pasta. Might be a bit too much or little in your opinion, but I think it would be something like that.
    5. Montreal isn't trying to compete this year, so it makes sense to get some value for Allen and sign a veteran the fans would enjoy like Halak.

I think everything else is self-explanatory. If you have questions, feel-free to ask

Ya that's one thing I wasn't sure about. If Pens and Bruins make it clear they're not wanted they might. I couldn't find anything saying Montreal was necessarily on any of their nmcs tho. Then again I could have missed something.

I think there are definitely teams willing to give that up for Allen. It's a very low risk move and teams like Edmonton and Calgary definitely could use someone like him even just as a back up.
From what other people have said, this seems to be basically the agreed value for Hoffman, but switch out the 4th for a 7th or something if you want.

I think this strategy will really apply a stress test to Management's new player development department.

Hopefully some picks pan out wink

If they want to compete still, I don't think it's too much. He was not very good this year and is on 3.8 mil. Like I said though, it's more of a rough estimate so I'm fine with just a 2nd and a 7th or something.

or you buy him out for 1.9m dont send anything out. or you bury him and just eat the 2m. doesnt make sense to send a 2nd with him for 1 year. they have multiple avenues that are much less costly. no reason to send high value picks out.

2m of cap space can go a long way, especially if it is one of the last years marchand will be around. A mid/late 2nd round pick isn't that valuable, especially for a team that doesn't NEED it atm like Boston.

You won't find any info about them because the lists are private. Whoever on here who tells you otherwise is simply speculating.

would argue they absolutely do need it to upgrade the roster vs send bad contracts out.
