He's essentially a 20 goal scorer that had one good season (on a contract year), and has performed poorly in the playoffs.

Drouin makes $5,500,000 x 1 year he's basically a one year cap dump with health concerns plus the 1st round pick will be extremely late. Pretty sure Guerin can get a far better offer than that.

This wouldn’t exactly be the first time the market reacts to an outlier season in a contract year. Its the norm.

I think the Flyers are out on Petry after signing Risto. Thats the latest word. Hughes also isnt trading Petry for a return less than Chiarot as they dont have a cap crunch coming in the next 3 years. Petry's deal is only going to look better as time goes on with the term decreasing.

Wrong. He scored 33 goals this year and was on pace for 30 in the 56-game season. He is a 30-goal scorer that can make or break games.
