I do like Brown, but I don’t know if the Canes do that. I mean, that contract is a bit hard to swallow with their current cap situation. Just curious since I haven’t been following Ottawa that much, where does he play in the lineup? The Canes definitely need a pure goal scorer at LW, but I don’t think Brown would be the answer.

Yeah, I don't think anybody actually wants Murray, it's gonna cost something to get somebody to take his contract.

He's a RW, but I'm pretty sure he has played on the left side before. On the Senators he plays a top 6 role, and I would say he is a fine 2nd line forward but he would excel at the 3rd line. He's very elite defensively and on the PK but he is underrated offensively but expect to never see him score on breakaways.

How physical is he? And is he good in puck battles?

From what I can recall, he isn't a physical player, sure he can throw a hit or two, but physicality isn't his forte. However I do believe he is good in puck battles.
