Evans played like a 3C this year and will make only 1.7M the next 3 seasons. If MTL draft Shane Wright, I could see them going Suzuki-Dvorak-Wright-Poehling and acc this offer

Come on man! Nylander is not a cap dump. He's a point a game player that is so hard to find. It's money well spent.

It's not a bad offer for Evans, but we do not want to trade him because he's on the only cap-friendly non-entry level deal on the whole team.

As I have said before....but you fail to read, IMO Nylander is fully worth his 7m X 2 contract till UFA. It's is trade value that low. There are so many teams near the cap trying to offload cap and few buyers.
To trade Nylander without receiving cap back....well that return is low.
Let's say the Leafs trade to LA for a second and third rounder. The Leafs still have 7m to sign others player(s)...which seems like. good deal for the Leafs. Heck the Kings just might say we'll keep our picks and spend 7m on a UFA .
