And there could even be similar goalies available for trade at a cheaper price- Talbot in Minny for example

Pretty reasonable, but I don't know that you get a 2nd for Varly. Maybe from a team like Wash. whose window is closing and don't seem too happy with their tenders.

most of the ACGMs i've seen have his value at about a 2nd and a 3rd, which i figured was close to this? what is your assessment?

i put holmstrom at about 2nd round value rn, he just had a really solid AHL year. that might be an overvaluation but i saw pretty much this same trade in a bruins ACGM a few days ago and people were fighting about whether it was too much or not.
