Then why would another GM offer full value for Fiala after Guerin said he just had 3 good months..?

There is some truth if you are in a one on one negotiation. But the cap situation and even the public remarks just make clear to everyone he isn’t keeping him. It is now a highest bidder situation and there will be several teams at least interested. The caveat of course is that he is a year away from UFA status, so he’ll have to be willing to sign a long term deal. I don’t see that as a problem as he’s money-motivated (and he should be), and when you have a season like he had (no it wasn’t just a few good months Guerin), your agent is going to convince you it’s time to cash in.

Those two can play anywhere in the lineup tbh. They both play every forwards position, and have logged good minutes no matter the role
