Kerfoot is not returning a 1st, and that pick is on hold for WPG if NYR get past the 2nd round
I don’t think that gets you Gibson
    Holl isn’t worth a 3rd
    Muezzin isn’t returning a 1st

You're right. Muzzin isn't returning a 1st. But St. Louis might be a team Muzzin would waive his NTC for. I don't know if they need or want him though. I know Leddy is a UFA.

Agree with everything although I could see Dubas getting good value for Kerfoot and Holl.
Wouldn't be a 1st, but I do think Kerf/Holl could both fetch a 3rd from a team. Not saying its a good trade, but someone would likely do it.

JT miller got a 1st (19th overall) coming off a 40 point season with a larger cap hit. If NYR makes the 3rd round ( highly unlikely) it will be next years (didn't know about this condition).

Gibson is an elite goalie but is coming off one of his career worse. Its kinda hard to argue more than a high-end NHL ready prospect, 2022 1st and a 4th.

Holl is worth a 3rd. Dermott was worth a 3rd which is comparable.

Muzz is getting a 1st for sure. Look at Ramus Ristolanen last year. He got 13th overall.

I gave you comparable trades. Its fair value for all players minus Gibson. It depends how Anaheim views him and if they consider themselves a playoff potential.

    Risto got a 1st...

Teams value players like Muzz. The odds of you drafting a player more impactful than Muzz in the late 20s is low especially for a contender that needs a LHD if leddy walks.

Gibson can return to form behind Torontos defensive scheme. They run a 1-1-3 NZ forecheck. As long as he can make the occasional big save he will return back to his form

If it was just Anaheims defence he would still have passable numbers, he's been terrible and a big reason they've been bad.
He hasnt been elite for 4 seasons, in a team behind 'amazing' defenders like manson, Lindholm, fowler etc etc.
Hes basically an ok back up until proven otherwise

Risto is in his prime (27). Muzzin isn't (33). His body is breaking down. There's no way Muzzin is getting a 1st. That's delusional thinking.

Muzz in his decline is better than Risto in his prime tho. That like saying Crosby in his decline value is less than JT Millers because he’s in his prime.

COL has Makar, Toews, Byram, Girard, EJ, and MacDermid all under contract for next year why in the world would they trade anything for Holl when they can just re-sign Manson? That’s a pass.

EJ probably getting moved. It’s gonna be hard to get a RHD for under 2.5 million. Just look at Ceci and Poolman from last year

Kerfoot and Muzzin aren't close to being worth a first-round pick.

Anaheim won't be creating a hole at goaltender when the Ducks have a five-year filler on the roster. I won't bother going into what he's worth because half of the Toronto fanbase think he's a bum but still want to trade for him.

Manson will probably get 4-5 million on the open market.

EJ cap hit is 6 million. Kadri, Burakovsky, Nichuskin, Kuemper and more all need new deals and only 20 million to use. Kadri will probably get 7-8 million on the open market, both Nichuskin and Burakovsky are easily getting 4-5 million, and Kuemper is getting 5-6 million. There’s no money for depth at all on the roster unless someone like Johnson is moved.

Plus Mackinnon is a year away from UFA at the end of the season.

Burakovsky is gone, Kadri is probably gone, Manson has already said he wants to re-sign. It’s $24M not $20M. COL isn’t trading for Holl ever. EJ’s contract AND Compher’s expire when MacK is do an extension.
