Holl is a cap dump

I think Kane is serious about staying. I really don't think this is a "I'm only staying if my friends stay" situation. Yes more cups are nice but Kane already has 3, as well as MVP's, SCF MVP's, art ross, etc. I think what's left for him to chase is Mikita to be the blackhawks franchise point leader. I also think it would be really tough for KD to get a Kane trade past Rocky unless Kane ask's out (which I just said why I think he won't. Kane sells tickets and if we are rebuilding the arena won't be full. Like it or not Rocky isn't letting this go back to the way it was in 07 again.

Holl buyout was just me messing around to see how much it was, forgot to undo it. We could take Mrazek but trying to look at it from TOR's perspective here. Makes way more sense for them to buy him out.

Realistically I could see two 2nds, only way we move a 1st is probably for Fiala, or maybe we retain like $1.5-2 mil and make it one 2nd and a late pick.

Ugh... Idk. I think Davidson could do better trading Cat. Yes it's a 2nd OA. But Tatar would just be a placeholder for CHI and Gritsyuk is still in Russia, which makes him less valuable right now.

So Holl, 23 point plus 14 is a cap dump but Murphy whose cap is more than twice as much 10 points, minus 14

How is Holl considered a cap dump? The gap between Murphy and Holl isn’t a big one, and Holl makes 2 mil compared to the ~4 mil Murphy makes. If any of the two d men here are considered cap dumps, it isn’t Holl

The problem with WPG is they need defensively responsible forwards in their top 6 as well.. Scheifele, Connor, Wheeler (and also Ehlers a bit) lack this gamestyle, hence adding another shooter like Kubalik doesn't really help the team long term. They need a Beauvillier/Bjorkstrand kind of a winger
